The Halberd Group's College Bound Program was created to provide peace of mind for parents and confidence for students as they begin their journey toward independence. Whether attending school in-state or across the country, each program begins with a comprehensive advance conducted by one of our seasoned Protection Professionals.
Our Protection Professional travels to the campus and surrounding area to perform a full assessment; identifying key points such as safe and unsafe zones within and around the campus, emergency clinics and hospitals with primary and secondary routes from the campus or location of the students housing, local law enforcement contacts, reputable service providers, and areas to avoid during off-hours or social outings with friends.
We establish direct communication channels with campus police and/or local law enforcement to verify response times and resources available in the event of an emergency on or around campus.
Upon completion, each family receives a professionally bound College Safety Briefing Binder; a personalized, easy-to-navigate reference binder covering all of the information gathered from the advance.
Each Briefing Book will include:
* A detailed map of the campus and surrounding area with key landmarks and safe routes highlighted.
* Emergency contact directory including campus police, local law enforcement, fire and medical services, and verified support resources.
* A neighborhood overview identifying high and low risk areas.
* Recommendations for trusted local establishments such as medical offices, pharmacies, grocery stores, retail shopping, vehicle services, and dining.
* Custom guidance on personal safety, situational awareness, and preventive habits tailored to the student's environment and lifestyle
* Information on campus safety; what to do, how to stay safe, and how to respond during critical incidents such as an active shooter.
Every briefing is presented to the family in a private review session; ensuring both the parents and students clearly understand the information, know how to respond if assistance is needed, and have direct access to The Halberd Group for follow-up support.
By combining preparation with protection, the College Bound Program delivers true awareness, readiness, and peace of mind for the student as well as their parents.
